discourse has requires an (((up-to-date))) browser which means you get an ugly albeit really nice looking that mogs the actual look to it while Xenforo doesn't have this.
you already posted this doe
In the end in-house coding is always better as long as you don't dummy-code it like musdummy did to the booru. It simply creates a product of more value because it's easier to expand and scale.
no no you need to download an already efficient system and tell claude opus 4.6 to optimize the entire thing 10 times trustIn the end in-house coding is always better as long as you don't dummy-code it like musdummy did to the booru. It's a forum not a kernel. It's doable but like with anything in-house it takes a longer time at first.seriously though magister isn't terry davis
programming the entire post system and also making the UI from scratch + all the extra features would be a huge pain in the ass albeitIt's a forum not a kernel. It's doable but like with anything in-house it takes a longer time at first.
Still easier than building upon xenforo. Besides routing is the easiest shit ever.programming the entire post system and also making the UI from scratch + all the extra features would be a huge pain in the ass albeit
move everything to forumotionI hate php and Xenforo is a mess. There's no documentation and extending shit is outright hard because of that. There is no real open source alternative to Xenforo. Imagine if there was an open source project that looks and feels like Xenforo so maybe forums can come back to life in general instead of everything being on 'cord or on those ugly modern nu forums written in Javascript
